I don't like buying over the internet. Can I view your products in person?
Yes. We have been long term traders at the The Amazing Mill Markets, 105 Central Spring Road, Daylesford, Victoria. The Amazing Mill Markets is open from 10am - 6pm every day (only closed Christmas day). It's a great store to browse with a variety of new and vintage items.
Daylesford is a lovely day trip from Melbourne where you can see the real Australian countryside (and the inspiration for Amber Tree) and one of Victoria's historic country towns.
We stock a selection of our products in The Amazing Mill Markets. Please contact us if you are looking for something special.

We accept VISA, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX, PayPal or bank deposit via our checkout.
We take online security very seriously. Payments received via the Amber Tree website are protected by 256-bit SSL, the same level of security used by banks.

What is sterling silver or 925?
Sterling silver is an international standard. Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing at least 92.5% by weight of silver and 7.5% by weight of other metals, usually copper. All of our silver jewellery is sterling silver. There are many cheaper imitations of silver, which will not wear well. We do not sell these inferior products.

What is amber?
Amber is an organic gemstone formed from resin produced by trees growing in ancient forests. Over millions of years this resin can become fossilised creating amber. Amber's organic origins mean natural material including bark, pollens, flowers, insects and more rarely animals may have become trapped in the resin and form unique amber inclusions. Important sources of amber include countries surrounding the Baltic sea, Mexico (Chiapas) and the Dominican Republic.
Amber has been prized for its beauty, Â lightness and warmth to the touch for thousands of years. Carved and polished artefacts dating back 10,000 years BC have been recovered from archaeological sites. Many people believe amber has special properties to enhance health and well-being.
The beauty, rarity, history, lightness and warmth of amber mean it will be prized for centuries to come...every piece is unique.Â
How can I be confident that I am buying a genuine product?
We only source our jewellery from reputable and well established jewellers and amber merchants. Many of our suppliers have worked with us for years to source and design unique and unusual pieces. All of our pieces are hand selected and described by our gemmologist and checked for authenticity before we put them on our website.
How can I work out my ring size?
Many of our statement rings are adjustable, so you can usually stretch or shrink the band to a comfortable fit. At Amber Tree we use the Australian standard to measure ring sizes, but you can convert these to your local standard using our ring sizing chart.
Tips for the perfect ring size
- Measure you ring size when you finger is neither too hot or cold, as this can change the size of your finger
- If you are considering a ring with a wider band, move up a size from your usual
- When measuring your finger use a paper strip about 1/2 inch width, do not use string as this may stretch. There are lots of templates available to print online.
Do you sell baby teething products?
No. Amber Tree specialises in amber jewellery for adults.
We do not recommend our jewellery for young children under 4 years of age. On the 7 October 2011 the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) issued a consumer protection notice in relation to amber teething necklaces and bracelets.  The notice is available from the ACCC website.
Do you have a refund policy?
Yes. We believe in the quality of our pieces. We want you to enjoy your Amber Tree jewellery as much as we enjoy selecting each piece. Please refer to our detailed returns policy for more information and legal bits.
